Did you know that St. George’s is an Eco Church?

Eco Church is a scheme run by Christian charity A Rocha UK that enables and encourages churches to care for God's creation through their worship, buildings, land, community engagement, and individual lifestyles.

Depending on how well they do this, churches can be considered for an Eco Church Award at either Bronze, Silver, or Gold level.  Previously St. George’s achieved the Bronze Award and in Cotober 2002 has been awarde the Silver Award!

It’s not all about awards though! We want to use Eco Church as a means of involving both our congregation and the wider community of Cam in adopting views, activities and lifestyles that help us to care for God’s creation and protect it for generations to come.

There is more information about the Eco Church scheme here: https://ecochurch.arocha.org.uk/
