The Nineteenth - Come, thou long expected Jesus

The Nineteenth - Come, thou long expected Jesus

Something more traditional today, an Advent hymn written by Charles Wesley in 1744, the tune Hyfrydol” was composed by a 20-year-old Welshman, Rowland H. Prichard, in about 1830.

"This is my favourite Advent hymn which I don’t think we have sung in church this year, Come thou long expected Jesus. I love the sense of the Advent season and waiting for Christmas conveyed by the words and the powerful music."
