My other choice is a song I just love to hear at this time of year, Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) by Darlene Love. It is ultra-Christmassy and also has tinges of hope, but also the sadness of missing people who might not be with us this year. It also has the classic Phil Spector, “Wall of Sound,” and is on his great A Christmas Gift for You album, which I love to listen to, his descent from pop producer to convicted murderer is very sad but Christmas is about forgiveness as well, and it's a great song.
