Members of St George’s congregation are actively involved in running and supporting the local Churches Together group (CTCDD) and there are very good relations with other denominations in the area. CTCDD co-ordinates (amongst other things) the local Christian Aid week house to house collections and fund-raising soup lunches, the local Foodbank hub, the Child Contact Centre, a bereavement group, and Friends at Christmas. It also organises Lent study groups and the Good Friday Walk of Witness where the cross is carried to the top of the ‘green hill’ of Cam Peak (a distinctive feature of the Cotswold Escarpment which is in our parish) – this is attended by several hundred people.
