Our music group plays once a month for Family Celebration service, supported by a non-robed choir. This generally involves accompanying the congregation through the hymns and songs in the service as well as leading the Gloria, weekly Psalm and Gospel Acclamation and blending with the choir for music sung during Communion.

At present, the line-up consists of keyboard and woodwind instruments and the occasional violin, with a mix of adults and teenagers involved.

These Family Services provide the opportunity for any musicians within the church community to come together and contribute to the worship. The aim is to include everyone with something to offer, not musical perfection!; whether you’d prefer to blast your way through traditional hymns such as ‘We plough the fields and scatter’, or to get the congregation clapping away to an African chant- our aim is to make Family Services accessible for everyone!
